Sharing Expertise
There is an old joke that the number of Greek text books at least equals the number of Greek teachers.
The implicaion is that every teacher thinks that they could do a better job that the authors of the existing text books. This may be true! However, rather than the number of books multiplying without end, it seems more sensible for teachers to share their own insights with the rest of the teaching community. This way we can all teach better (and maybe more easily), which has got to be good for our students and for ourselves.
This exchange of resources can happen easily over the internet. Anyone can submit material to me electronically - extra examples, clever ways of explaining things, worksheets, lesson plans, anything. I will have a look to check it is what it says it is (the internet can be a strange place!). It will then be uploaded to the server, and available for anyone to download and use as they wish. If we all contribute, this will soon be a great help to us all.
